The Preliminary Job Profile
The Preliminary Job Profile encapsulates the skills and competencies demon- strated by high performers in the specific job. We draw this information from our database of researched jobs, selecting profiles on the basis of the company and job information you provided during registration.
No job is ever an exact clone of another. Different jobs in different organizations require subtly different combinations of competencies, skills and preferences to produce high performance. In each Preliminary Job Profile we produce, we show the range for each competency across the relevant jobs in our database.
Where there is a high degree of congruence for a competency, you can be confident of the core importance of that specific behavior to drive success in the role. Where the evidence is more dispersed, different working contexts require different behaviors: you can use your knowledge of the job to tailor the Profile to fit your specific organization and work team.
Adjusting the job profile is quick and easy. You simply drag the icon on the competency bar to reflect the importance you attach to the competency.
When you finalize the Job Profile, we immediately start matching candidates against it. We send the top-matched candidates invitations more information about the job and invite them to join the shortlist.
