The science of performance prediction
Research into great performance at work has found three main influencing factors:
Can do: Capability, skills and current knowledge - necessary factors but rarely a differentiator of performance.
Does well: Behavior at work, competency, and cognitive potential - strong differentiators and major determinants of job-person fit.
Likes doing: Motivation, preference, work culture - strong differentiators of job-person fit.
We assess both jobs and candidates according to these three factors. We calibrate the recipe for each job using research into the drivers of performance in similar jobs, adjusted for the context of the specific role.
